Portugal, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Turkey
Czech Republic
The Czech covered all the positions; their system is not disturbed when someone gets injured or suspended. The schedule favours them because they will first play with co-hosts Switzerland that will have the crowd on their side but they are not an elite side in this competition. If they remain unbeaten against Portugal, also they will have a clear situation in the last match against the Turks. Czech Republic can do a lot, since they are practically among top five or six European sides at the moment so we believe that they will get to the knock-out stage. Switzerland
If he solves the attacking problem, which is not impossible since the midfield has several excellent strikers, Switzerland will have a chance in group A. However, Portugal, and Czech Republic are definitely the favourites for the next round but hosts will wait for their chance. They will play the first game against the Czech, second against Portugal and if they remain unbeaten on the start anything can happen. Read complete Switzerland preview
Turkey
This is the new generation, without winning mentality, though the fact that they have no pressure of big expectations might be helpful. Even so, as we see it, Turks will hardly get among top eight. The stats say that they are weaker even than the co-hosts, Switzerland, not to mention Czech Republic and Portugal. We don’t see the Turks moving forward from group A and it won\'t be a surprise if they don’t take a single point in all three matches. Read complete Turkey preview
Portugal
Scolari’s team is covered great in all of the positions except in front of the net; there is no doubt that they will be the favourites in group A though they should be careful since experienced Czech don\'t suit them. Everyone expects Portugal to climb high and if they handle the pressure they might even repeat the result from the last championship. Read complete Portugal preview
