What are combo bets?
When you want to bet couple of games in accumulator, but you are not sure in result of all those games, and you are sure that some of them will finish like you think and you are not sure which one, then you should think about combo bets. In combo bets you have option to decide how many results you will guess and if you guess that number or more, you are the winner. It is not something that you can't do without combo bets, but that will take more time. Let's see the examples.
Combo bets example!
You are sure that 2 of four derby clashes this weekend will end up in draw, but you can not decide which 2. Then you should bet combo 2/4, which means that you are adding all 4 draws in betting slip and choose 2 of 4 combo option. That means that your betting slip have been splitted in 6 betting slips, so it can cover all possible combinations with two draws and your betting amount is also splitted on those 6 bets.
Our bet 6$ at 2/4 combo:
Game 1 Draw
Game 2 Draw
Game 3 Draw
Game 4 Draw
Basically it is the same as 6 acumulator bets:
1. Game 1 Draw & Game 2 Draw: bet 1$
2. Game 1 Draw & Game 3 Draw: bet 1$
3. Game 1 Draw & Game 4 Draw: bet 1$
4. Game 2 Draw & Game 3 Draw: bet 1$
5. Game 2 Draw & Game 4 Draw: bet 1$
6. Game 3 Draw & Game 4 Draw: bet 1$
Since it is the same, it is faster to place one combo bet, then 6 acumulator ones. You will win the bet, if you guess at least two draws, and you will win much more if you guess more draws then you estimated. If there is 2 draws, then you will won one of these bets and win money from that bet. If there is 3 draws, then you will win 3 of those bets, and you will money from all winning bets. All 4 draws would generate big profit from you, since all of your bets are winning ones.
Calculation of possible combinations
Question can be how to calculate number of possible combinations when you are placing combo bets. Like 2/4 are 6 bets, 2/3 are 3 bets, 3/5 are 10 bets. How to calculate this quickly?
If your combo bet is a/b (a out of b) then number of possible calculation is
b!/(a!*(b-a)!) while a!=a*(a-1)*(a-2)*...*2*1
For example:
2/3 -> b!=3!=3*2*1 a!=2!=2*1 (b-a)!=1!=1 -> 3*2*1/2*1*1 = 3
2/4 -> b!=4!=4*3*2*1 a!=2!=2*1 (b-a)!=2!=2*1 -> 4*3*2*1/2*1*2*1 = 6
3/5 -> b!=5!=5*4*3*2*1=120 a!=3!=3*2*1=6 (b-a)!=2!=2*1=2 -> 120/6*2 = 10
So you have learned a little math here :-)
Bankers
You can add the bankers in every combo bet. Banker (or fix) is the game that will be in every possible combination. If you have bankers in your combo bet, then your complete bet depends on outcome of the bankers. If one or more bankers fail, the same happen with your whole bet. Bankers are great for increasing possible winnings, but also verz dangerous as your complete bet depends on them. Basically, you should be very sure in your bankers.
Be carefull!
You should be carefull with placing this kind of bets, cause every bookmaker have other policy regarding money that you risk. One option is for you to enter full risk money (6$ in this case), and they split it to all combinations. Still more online bookmakers except risk for one possible combination and multiply it with number of combinations (in our case, we would risk 1$, and bookmaker would take 6*1$ from our account). Common mistake is for people to enter complete risk (6$ in our case) and later find out that they have made 6*6$ bet. So, be carefull.
