Arsenal vs Stoke goals and highlights

Arsenal failed to stop Manchester United from winning the premiership last weekend and this game is an opportunity to say goodbye to a very disappointing season. Stoke, on the other hand, had an extremely successful season and they could even achieve a top table finish in their first ever Premiership season.

Is Wenger leaving?

Arsenal will end the fourth consecutive season without a single trophy and it seems that the fans are fed up with their team constantly missing out on all the major titles. The current crop of players Arsene Wenger has at his disposal doesn’t look capable of fighting for honours and the Frenchman will have to severely strengthen the squad over summer, that is, if he stays at the club. The French manager has been widely tipped to join Real Madrid at the end of the season and even though he has denied the claims, we don’t think that Real will give up that easy. Wenger finally made one great signing by bringing Andrei Arshavin but the Gunners need a couple of more world-class players if they are to challenge for honours next season. Arsenal showed some improvement last weekend when they held United to a goalless draw but we feel they only kept a clean sheet because Manchester only needed one point to ensure the Premiership title. The Gunners will not have a lot of motives in this match but they will try to make amends for the latest poor results and they will be eager to say goodbye to the fans with an impressive performance. Arsene Wenger will once again be forced to field a team without Eduardo, Gallas, Clichy, Almunia and Rosicky, whereas Adebayor and Gibbs remain injury doubts.

The Potters can start celebrating

Who could have believed that Stoke would be on the verge of top table finish in the first Premiership season? Many pundits predicted the Potters straight return to the Championship but how they were wrong. Toni Pulis’ team proved to be a tough nut to crack even for the strongest team in the league and they deserve all the praise for their efforts this season. The boss managed to build a team full of great professionals, who worked their socks off in every single game and with the help of the loudest crowd in the Premier League, they exceeded all expectations. Britannia Stadium became a real fortress and excellent home performances have been a key to the great league position. Stoke have got the chance to achieve a top table finish if they beat Arsenal and City fail to beat Bolton, which would be a tremendous success. We expect the visitors to give their best at the Emirates, just like they did in all the games this season and if the chance arises, we are sure that they will try to win the game. Apart from the long-term casualties, Amdy Faye, Higginbotham and Sidibe, Pulis will have full squad to choose from and we expect to see another strong performance from the Potters.

Betting verdict

This should be a very interesting match even though neither team need the points from this match, but both Arsenal and Stoke will have something to prove. Therefore, we expect a very open match and a lot of goals.
