Transfer news and rumors

More news about Tottenham

After the very poor run of results, Fulham managed to win the last two home games and they will be looking to extend the good run against Tottenham. The Spurs continue to impress under Harry ‘Houdini’ Redknapp, having won four successive matches in all competitions. The players are in high spirits after the Cup win over Liverpool and they will try to get another three points and continue to climb the Premiership table.

The Cottagers are improving

Fulham managed to kick-start their campaign with two home wins and Craven Cottage is where they should be looking to win most of the points this season. They have been very poor away from home over the last years and this term is not much different. That is why they have to continue winning the home games but they will have difficult job against high-flying Tottenham. Roy Hodgson continues fielding the same line-up in almost all the matches this season and to be honest, he has no reason to rest his starters as Fulham don’t have a busy schedule. Hodgson’s tactics is starting to produce results as the players had enough matches to adjust to each other and the performances are much better now. Fulham played very well against Newcastle and it was a very open game which could have gone either way. Both teams adopted attacking style of play and no wonder both sides had a lot of clear-cut chances. Considering that Tottenham will play the similar way, we should expect another very exciting match. Hodgson has every reason to look forward to the match, as he has no fresh injury worries and Andy Johnson is in great form lately.

Spurs cannot be stopped

Spurs continue to dominate regardless of the team Harry Redknapp sends on the pitch and their winning run continues. Having masterminded the victories over Liverpool, Dinamo Zagreb and Manchester City, Redknapp changed the big part of the starting line-up for the League Cup match with Liverpool. It was evident in this game that Tottenham have big strength in depth, as even though they were missing several first team regulars, the Spurs had strong enough team to crush second string side of Liverpool. Hutton, Dawson, Bale, Lennon, Zokora, O’Hara, Pavlychenko and Campbell are the players who impressed against Liverpool and all of them haven’t been the part of the starting line-up lately. They are now pushing for the place in the starting eleven, thus Redknapp will have plenty of options to choose from. Tottenham is now completely different team than that under Juande Ramos and the performances are much better when the players are high on confidence. Every aspect of the game has been considerably improved and scoring is just one of them. Tottenham scored 16 goals in the last five matches and we expect their scoring form to continue. Keeper Gomes should be ready to play after being forced to come off against Liverpool, while Jenas is still doubtful and Giovanni is injured.

Betting verdict

Both teams have improved considerably and they will enter this match high on confidence. Tottenham’s outstanding run makes them favourites in this match but we will opt to bet on goals. Both teams will adopt attacking approach without paying too much attention on defense and over 2.5 should be a banker here.
