Manchester United’s title ambitions suffered a real blow, as they were defeated by Arsenal on Saturday. The team will be eager to make amends and even though Ferguson will not field the strongest line-up, they will be favourites to win. QPR eliminated Aston Villa in the last round and they will be looking to make another surprise at Old Trafford.

Ferguson set to ring changes

Manchester United suffered a major setback in the title race, having lost from Arsenal at the Emirates. The Red Devils are now eight points behind leaders Chelsea, with a game in hand, and they will to improve quickly in order to stay in the title race. Manchester started brightly at the Emirates and had two very good chances to take the lead early on. However, Anderson and Rooney both missed their chances and Nasri punished them for some poor defending with two goals, thus helping Arsenal win the game. United had the better chances throughout the match and the defeat was really harsh on them. Ferguson decided to play Gary Neville, who had just recovered after injury, from the start and that was a mistake. Neville was struggling throughout the match and Nasri had a lot of space on the left, which proved crucial for the final result. Still, Ferguson will have to find a way to lift his players before the match with QPR, as they cannot afford another disappointment. Ferguson will change the starting line-up, and Rafael, Evans, Gibson, Posebon, Manucho and Welbeck are all set to start.

QPR knocked out Aston Villa

Queens Park Rangers produced one the biggest surprise of the last round, having beaten Aston Villa away, thus earning the chance to face Manchester United. They will be very motivated to create another surprise and we have no doubts that Gareth Ainsworth will field the strongest line-up. The club has high ambitions this season and they want to achieve promotion to the Premier League. They have been inconsistent this term, but with two home wins they are now just outside the play off place. QPR defeated Cardiff last weekend thanks to Mahon’s late goal and the players will be full of confidence before this match. Gareth Ainsworth is at the helm after Iain Dowie was sacked and he did a great job ever since. Club’s new owners, Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone are usually in the dressing room before the start of the match and we are sure that the players will be offered big rewards if they manage to eliminate United.

Betting verdict

United will have a difficult job against QPR and they will have problems breaking the opponent’s defense. The visitors will be satisfied with defending their own goal and we are sure they would be satisfied with a goalless draw. United’s second-string line-up will struggle to find goals and we recommend betting on under.
