 The Gunners pulled off a great result against Manchester United, thus ending the poor run of results. Arsenal back in business

However, Arsenal produced one of the best performances this season and showed their trademark football, winning the match 2:1. The win helped the players restore the lost confidence and they will be very motivated to continue with good results. As usual, Wenger will rest almost all the players from the starting line-up and give the chance to very talented youngsters like Vela, Ramsey and Song among others.
Wigan is still struggling
Even though they were expected to end the poor run of results against Stoke, Wigan failed to win that game and Steve Bruce now desperately needs one good result to lift the team’s spirits. The Latics were once again the better team and created some good chances to score but their performance was far from impressive. The team struggled in the creative department, where Koumas and Valencia failed to deliver and they need the most improvement in that area. The team was unable to break Stoke’s hard-working defense and they are now just outside the relegation zone. Another problem might be injury to Emil Heskey, although Henri Camara will be keen to impress after recovering from injury. Wigan was the only one of the Premier League teams who fielded the strongest line-up in the last round of the competition and Bruce might be looking to take advantage of Arsenal’s second string team and win the game. Wigan will not be concentrated only on defense at the Emirates and their excellent strikers should be able to take advantage of Arsenal’s attacking style of play.

Arsene Wenger will field second-string line-up but the players will be keen to impress and get closer to the starting berth. The hosts will continue to play attacking football and we expect the same from Wigan, who will be looking to hit Arsenal on counterattacks through very quick Camara and possibly Zaki.
