Adams will surely opt for more attacking approach against Wigan and Defoe will be back in the starting line-up. Wigan lost four in a row

Wigan is going through the worst period this season, having lost four league games in a row. Steve Bruce faces a difficult task in the next period and he needs to lift the players’ spirits as soon as possible. The Latics again conceded after a defensive mistake and their defense is the weakest part of the team. Heskey and Zaki are great up front, while Valencia, Palacios and Koumas have the ability to create a lot of chances for the teammates. Wigan has fallen into the relegation zone and they desperately need a win. They will have to play for all three points against Portsmouth and this should be a very interesting game.
