This will be the match of recently promoted teams and the teams that proved they are good enough to stay in the Premier League. West Brom suffered a heavy defeat from Manchester United but they will immediately turn to this game and try to end Hull’s excellent run. Hull City continues to impress and if the Tigers continue in this fashion they will ensure survival before Christmas.

The Baggies lost at Old Trafford

West Brom ended their winning streak by losing the game at Old Trafford. The team did well for most part of the game but United’s individual quality came on top and the Baggies suffered a heavy defeat. Maybe if Tony Mowbray opted for more defensive approach WBA would lose by a smaller margin, but that is simply not the way manager Mowbray wants his team to play. The team is characterized by attacking style of play and even though they played one of the strongest teams in the league they didn’t want just to sit back and defend. That is the difference between Mowbray and other managers and he should be given credit for this. One player in particular impressed at Old Trafford and we have mentioned him before. Midfielder Borja Valero played great ever since he came in the club this summer, but considering he shone when his team was defeated 4:0 should give you a clear picture of his qualities. West Brom now has excellent midfield area and this should be the basis of their possible victory against Hull.

Hull is still winning

It took Hull 104 years to reach the Premier League and it seems to have been worth all the trouble. The Tigers are enjoying themselves and they just keep on winning. Everybody expects them to slip up but it simply doesn’t happen. The team now has three wins in a row and they are still third with 17 points. Players’ confidence is sky-high and as long as that’s the case the team has good chances to win every next game. After Arsenal and Tottenham, Hull defeated another team from London. However, we have to say that Hull was lucky to win against West Ham, as the visitors had a couple of clear-cut chances in the first half and could have opened the scoring. Turner scored just after the break and Hull took another three points and continued the magnificent run. Phil Brown was praised for his work at Hull but he now has even tougher job, as he needs to keep players focused after their recent success. Brown could be given a boost before this match, as Giannakopoulos, Gardner and Barmby may recover in time for this game.

Betting verdict

West Brom will be motivated to win this game and stay in the top part of the table. The team has excellent midfield area and they are expected to take control of the game. Hull is impressive lately but we cannot expect them to stay at the third place in the standings. Maybe this will be the end of their excellent run, as West Brom has enough quality to win this game.
