Moscow had higher ambitions this season

After they got the ticket for Europe in the last championship, ambitions were high, cautious Blokhin warned that the team is not well-trained, that they don't have winning mentality and the habit of playing in the same tempo during whole 90 minutes, but after a weak first part of the season, everyone expected them to finally move forward… But it was all vague, unimaginative at home; no wonder the fans turned back on them. They schooled CSKA away; marked few other excellent results against bottom-placed teams which brought a certain relief. It is hard to believe that Moscow can get into a situation where they will fear for their status, though objectively this season should be forgotten as soon as possible. UEFA Cup could be a saviour; they are doing well there so far... We are yet to see is they can get to the group stage and prolong the European odyssey.
