 After two rounds played, Bayern have as many points, which speaks enough of the Bavarian's opening form in the new season. Hertha, on the other hand, are excellent, although in the last round they missed a fine opportunity to triumph over Bielefeld in front of their fans.
Oddo, new Bayern man
Since the management decided to sell Marcell Jansen to Hamburger, Italian international Massimo Oddo, on-loan from Milan took his place, and there is possibility for the club to buy his contract in the end of the season.
In the last round Bayern had plenty of luck when they remained undefeated in Dortmund, where besides of the negative goal margin they were outnumbered during most of the match, since Van Bommel booked two yellow cards in two minutes. Ribery, Hamit Altintop, Sagnol and Butt won’t be in the team because of injuries, while Van Bommel is suspended.
Hertha in UEFA Cup
No matter that Berlin side ended the last season on tenth, they still qualified for UEFA Cu thanks to fair-play with least yellow and red cards booked. Of course, this saw them in UEFA Cup qualifications where they moved on to teh group stage after a double win over Ljubljana.
Last weekend Hertha lost their chance to level their best start in the league, since they lost two points in the finish of the match against Bielefeld at home. We should mention that Hertha’s best player Marko Pantelic scored his first goal this season in the match against Bielefeld which was at the same time the only goal of his side in this match. Coach Favre, can completely be satisfied with the play, in both domestic championship and in Europe which is why there are no reasons for him to change the winning team. The only change will be Radjabali playing instead of injured Chermiti. Dardai, Fiedler and Hartman are also injured.

In the last 13 games against Hertha at home, Bayern won 11. The last time Berlin side celebrated in Munich was 30 years ago so the tradition doesn’t favour them in this match.
