Swans boosted by Cup win

Forest good in defense

Nottingham Forest displayed their strength against one of the title contenders, Reading, at the opening of the season at their City Ground (0-0). Manager Colin Calderwood can be very pleased with his team, and a lot of injured players will guarantee even better performances once the team is complete. Robert Earnshaw was alone forward, the defense line played safe allowing the duests only one good goal chance.

Injury list in Nottingham is still long-Andy Cole, Joe Garner, Paul Anderson and Nathan Tyson. Fortunately for Calderwood, excellent young winger, Lee Martin, arrived on loan from Man Utd. He went off with the excellent debut in Carling Cup win over Morecamb (4-0).

Betting verdict

Duel between two League One acquaintances will be very interesting, mostly because the situation is now more even among the two compared to last season. Swansea were quite convincing last year in the league, but the entire 180 minutes the two sides played were ended goalless. We will once again witness a hard fight with guests concentrating on the defense while home side will close down in case they score first. Ideal game for under 2.5 since no one is willing to risk losing the game.
