A typical end-of-the-season game in Italy. Three rounds before the end both sides have secured their midtable spot which was their aim in the first place. They will start the match relaxed and try to give an open football game to their fans. Both sides achieved even more than we expected from them in the last round. Piacenza drew in Trieste though they wouldn’t worry even if they lost. Grosseto demolished Bologna which was certainly a surprise but they wrapped up the season in the best way. Piacenza have gone eight matches without a victory

Emiliani celebrated against Rimini by the end of March, and since then the championship is over for them since they definitely confirmed their second-league status. First part of the season was terrible mostly because of the fact that Somma didn’t have attackers at his disposal. When Zlatko Dedic and Tulli were signed in January, everything changed. This is still not the squad capable of higher achievements but they certainly won't fear for their place in the league next season. Actually, Piacenza seem to have accepted their average quality and they have no ambitions to get back in Serie A.

Grosseto won in the last two awy games

These were, at the same time the first away triumphs for Toscana side. After winning in Avellino and Ascoli they have secured their place in the league. They took most of the points at home which was expected since while in the third league Grosseto played much better at Zecchini than outside of it. This is logical, since the squad is inexperienced and loud fans at home compensate for the lack of quality. Actually this was the case in the first part of the season since experienced Lithuanian Danilevicius and Graffiedi arrived in January and reinforced the squad. In the first part of the season Grosseto won Piacenza at home. Now they will play for their fans and an eventual better place on the standings.
