 Torino are rescued, a turbulent season ended good with a win in Toscana over Livorno. The rivals were sent to Serie B and Torino are now mathematically safe. They have no special reasons for satisfaction, it is actually a relief. The team that announced the quest for Europe were shaking till the very end. Although last week it didn’t seem that Viola will ruin all they have been working for this season, it seems that they deserved such a finish. They are about to play the last 90 minutes and they have a clear aim: a win at Olimpico will bring them fourth place and Champions League qualifications.
Solving the problems in the transfer window
For starters, they clearly defined the needs of the squad. Granata need a forward, Cairo dreams of Aquafresca's return from Cagliari but this is probably not a realistic expectation. Anyway, the squad lack a player who can score about 15 goals in the season, since in Serie A the attackers are valued by their materialization efficiency. There is a basis of the club but the must solve the question of several unsatisfied players, captain Comotto, first of all. Recoba turned out to be a failure and it is of vital importance for the club to keep Rosina. Popular Rosinaldi is not satisfied and he said he is thinking about leaving. Torino are a stable team with good defense but they rarely win. When you draw week after week, few defeats in succession will mean the relegation battle is near. The club probably learned the lessons form the last season so next year should be easier.
The team of the future
Everyone agrees with this. First of all, they have the most talented players in Italy, together with Juventus. Secondly, Mutu and Frey are the basis of the squad and if Viola keep them, the squad will be more experienced and with few back-ups more dangerous. They didn’t have enough players, UEFA CUP semifinal took away a lot of their energy so they will try to get alternatives for each position during the summer. Prandelli insists that Gillardino comes, while sports director Corvino seeks for talents in South America. Excellent scouting service is a guarantee that Florence side will again bring great back-ups and have a notable role in the championship next season.

Fiorentina will win in Torino; we have no doubts that visitors' higher motivation will decide since home side are already thinking about the vacation.
