Metz's nightmare season is coming to an end. They got promoted to the first league unprepared which was obvious already after few rounds. They haven’t got the quality for this rank and they deserved relegation. They have the weakest attack and the weakest defense in the league.
In the last two months they marked somewhat better results but this is because their rivals relaxed, not because they play good.
In the second part of the season they have given the chance to some younger players that could lead this team back to the first league next season. This will certainly pay off next season and it brought life to the squad on several occasions.
They lost last week, for the fifth time in a row at home. They had a lot of shots at the target but unlike Lorient they didn't use them. They perhaps could have taken a point but it is much more important for them to play good.
This time they will play without Gueya and Leoni.

Mission accomplished

Before the start Le Mans had only one aim, not to end up in the relegation battle. They have been playing very good during the whole season, and as the seasons go by, they are proving that they belong at the very top of French football. They haven’t got a big budget which is why they lack quality players on the bench that could enable them to fight on more competitions. That is why they have no European ambitions. Such a thing could affect their play in domestic championship negatively as it always happens with the teams that play in Europe.
Last week they played against excellent Marseille. Although Olympic had a player in hand for over 40 minutes they failed to find a way to Le Mans' net. Le Mans were very organized during the whole match and not for a single moment did we notice that they were outnumbered.
This match is not important for them, but a win would guarantee them a place at the top end of the standings.
Basa and Samassa won’t play due to injuries.
