This week German Bundesliga 1 matches

A defeat in the capital most likely saw Nurnberg end their career in the first league, unless a miracle happens and they win Schalke, and Bielefeld lose to Stuttgart in the meantime. Much harder than anyone expected, Schalke managed to celebrate the last triumph in front of their fans this season, having marked a minimum win over Frankfurt.
All or nothing
Nurnberg were under a lot of pressure in the last round in Berlin and that is why it is no wonder that Von Hessen’s players gave one of the weakest performances in the season.
Coach Von Hessen decided to field a one-forward formation but with a quite offensive midfield. Czech international Koller will be alone in the attack, while Charisteas, Mintal and Saenko will support him from the midfield. One of the biggest advantages for the home side will be the fans, who will support their favourites in an attempt to end the negative run of five winless matches against Schalke. In the mentioned five matches Nurnberg managed to beat Schalke keepers only once and the last home win they marked over Blues was in 1999. Standard keeper Blazek again won’t be in front of the net, since he is injured, aas well as Glauber, Kluge, Weber, Reinhardt, Kammermeyer, Kling and Szikal.
Directly to the Champions League?
Schalke won't give up trying to qualify for the Champions league automatically so they can have more space this summer to prepare for the next season. In the last round Royal Blues struggled to mark a minimum win over Frankfurt and the only scorer was Serbian defender Krstajic.
Unlike last five matches where Schalke marked even four triumphs and one draw, coach Buskens decided to field a somewhat defensive tactics with only one forward, most likely Kevin Kuranyi. The best scorer will be supported by midfielders Asamoah, Altintop and young Rakitic. The scorer of the only goals in the last match, Mladen Krstajic will miss the last match because of five yellow cards booked, so Westermann will play in the back line instead. In order to fight their way to the automatic Champions League promotion, Schalke must win in this game, but also to wait for Werder’s failure against Leverkusen. Varela, Ze Roberto, Bajramović, Happke and Tapalović won't be able to help their side because of injuries.
Betting Verdict
In the first part of the season Schalke celebrated in front of their fans 2:1, thus reaching the eighth triumph over Nurnberg in the last twelve matches, and they haven't been defeated in the meantime. Both sides will play to win, since only a victory can accomplish their aims, so it is best that you bet on goals here since there should be plenty of them.
