Before the season started these two sides were expected to perhaps fight for first place in the end, but now Chievo are flying towards Serie A, while Mantova are getting ready for another season in second league. They lost to Mantova at Bentegodi this autumn, but Chievo are now a completely different team. Self-confidence is the key word, and we think that it will be crucial against Mantova.

Perhaps Mantova will be motivated to show that they have the quality to handle the nest Serie B side and that weak games against average teams stopped them from joining the title race. But we can’t see how Virgiliani can resist Chievo. Mantova are worn out, they probably can’t play in the same tempo for the whole 90 minutes. Chievo will be patient, and after all, a point would suit them just fine since they will host Vicenza and Bari, and if they win these two matches they will be automatically promoted to Serie A. Veronesi can’t afford the luxury to le Mantova take the initiative. Anyway, the best choice is betting on small number of goals, since both sides will be very careful.
