There are only two games left for Manchester United, two games that would make this season the complete success, but also the complete failure. Game with Wigan is the first step since the win brings the new title for Manchester United. Steve Bruce sits on Wigan bench, the man who owes it all to Ferguson and who is the legend of Stratford End. The idea that he might bring the misery upon United fans seems unreal.

Steve Bruce – against his own men

Bruce had wore United shirt for years in the very first champion generation Ferguson created at Old Trafford. He had become the favorite of Stratford End, not only because of numerous goals he used to score after set pieces, but also because of his fight without quarter for the sacred shirt. Each defender that was to come to the club had been compared with him, and it was only two years ago that the fans had found his appropriate replacement – Serbian international Vidic. None the less, despite the fact his heart will beat for United in this fixture, it is certain that he will not let his former club take the win so easily, and no one even expect him to do so.

By beating Aston Villa in the last round in Birmingham, Latics have definitely secured their survival. That is why the game with United is a good chance for them to say goodbye to their fans with the fine performance after another successful season. Bruce had managed to pull the team out of the relegation zone and, if they remain together, they might even make a surprise next season. It is interesting that, ever since they had come to Premier League, they would always lose to big four easily, but Bruce has done it to change that tradition. Namely, in the last three games against Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, they remained unbeaten and they will try to do the same against the Devils.

To be or not to be for United

United have reached the final decision. Ferguson claimed even at the beginning of the season that the championship would be decided by the mutual duels of the big four, and that it would be possible for goal difference to be very crucial in the title fight. It is now evident that the experienced Fergie was right. In the duels with big four, United were defeated only at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago and it was exactly thanks to those points that they grabbed the first place. The second factor is the goal difference. Since United had very ofter scored 3, 4 goals per game, as the most efficient team in the league, they now have the big advantage over Blues who have the same number of points as United.

Nani was sent off from the game with West Ham and he will not be able to help in the game of the season, and it is also uncertain if Rooney and Vidic are fully recovered. Still, even without them, United are the favorites. They will have to attack that is for sure, which usually gives results against the teams such as Wigan.

Betting verdict

The entire planet will probably bet on Manchester United this week. Everything is on their side. They will have the support of the fans as if they are playing at home, they are the more quality team, they are playing against the unmotivated opponents, and the win would bring the 10th champions title for Giggs. The odds on away win are too small, so we advise you to go for goals. United will have to be offensive and to attack which usually means there will be 3, 4 goals in Wigan’s nets. On the other hand, Wigan do not have to choose cattanacio and they would certainly like to score at least one goal at the last game of the season.
