Until a month ago, Gunners hoped to celebrate the title at the Stadium of Light. However, the situation is completely different in front of this closing round, and Roy Keane and Arsen Wenger will play with their best players a game that will decide absolutely nothing. In these several last weeks, Arsenal are completely shattering under the pressure of the managers and the clubs trying to grab all that is worth something.

Keane furious after defeat to Bolton

We haven’t seen Keane so angry for a long time. A week earlier, Black Cats have secured the survival, and they played at Reebok completely indifferent to what is happening on the turf. When you have Keane for a manager, it is the utmost mistake you can make, so the temperamental Irish made it clear that he is about to make some cuts and say goodbye to the players which think there are some games when it is not so important to fight for your club. Rumors are that Keane is mostly displeased with Richardson, and also that he might sack 7 or 8 players this summer and to find the replacements for them. It is also sure that Sunderland will invest a lot to make it possible for Keane to make as better selection as possible, and the most important question is whether they will make it to keep Jones because the clubs from the big four are interested in him. Against Arsenal, Keane will give the last chance to some of the players, and we should not be surprised if the squad try to redeem themselves for the disgrace at Reebok. Beardsley will be out, Ward and Etuhu are injured.

Flamini gone, who is next?

When you say each season that you will finally win the title next year, and you don’t, than you shouldn’t be surprised that the players do not have patience. Flaming left first. Wenger wasn’t ready to give him the earnings which Flamini thought he deserved, there was the offer from the great Milan on the table, and it was expected that Flamini will be with rossoneri next season. Flamini’s departure is not such a big deal, but the fact that Wenger’s reactions revealed the ship was sinking. The fans will expect trophies next season, and before the start of the crucial season for him, he might lose half of the team. Hleb is already at Inter’s doors. Adebayor made it clear he was unhappy. Fabregas has the open offers from Barcelona and Real Madrid who are asking about the price for the player who certainly wishes to get back to his homeland eventually. At the same time, Wenger is telling about his disappointment with Flamini which is an insult at least. The French gave his heart for Arsenal, only to get himself into position to play the final season without the offer to prolong his deal. The top of the iceberg was the fact he got the offer of some 50K pounds week deal, which is the wage even smaller than Wes Brown got in Manchester United. Wenger clearly showed his appreciation to him with that offer, so he shouldn’t be surprised why the others want to leave as well. It is a question how Arsenal will play against Sunderland in a situation like this, and it is also a big question what the team will look like without Hleb, Rosicky, Eduardo, Sagna and Diaby.

Betting verdict

Don’t be surprised if Arsenal lose to Sunderland. Situation in the club that will end the third season in a row without a title is tense. Wenger’s statements are not worthy of a captain of a ship with a route. On the other hand, although this game means nothing to Sunderland as well, this is probably going to be a type of a trial for many players and we don’t think they will allow themselves a luxury of disappointing Keane again. The odds on home win are simply too high, and we advise you to at least try the double chance.
