Derby have managed to break all records. They took only 11 points which is the worst result ever in Premier League. In the last round in front of home fans, they will host Reading who are desperate to win in order to stay in the league. Unfortunately for Royals, the win doesn’t secure them the survival, so they will also have to watch Prtsmouth’s result.

Worst team ever

When Sunderland took only 15 points for the season couple of years ago, we thought that the worse team will never play in Premiership again. We were wrong. Derby broke their record embarrassing themselves in the season the fans will want to forget as soon as possible. Still, Pride Park will not be empty. Derby’s fans demonstrated they still love their team last week at Ewood Park. Paul Jewell will get his chance to make the new team in the Championship ready to get back immediately to Premiership, but with bigger chances for survival. However it is too late to do ti for the game with Reading. Jewell is without the half of his team. David Jones, Dean Leacock, Alan Stubbs, Giles Barnes, Danny Mills and Claude Davis are injured unable to help, while the rest of the team will try to compensate the lack of quality with their aggressiveness.

Reading must win

Reading are on desperate form. That form, exactly, has led them to the bottom. A round before end, Reading are not to decide about their own faith and could easily end up in Championship for the next season. Despite winning at Pride Park they will also need the good result at Fratton Park. Coppel believes in this team despite the fact that, not only have they not won the last 6 games, but they haven’t scored a goal. They recalled Leroy Lita from the loan, but that didn’t help also, so they will have to find a way to score after more than 500 minutes. Good news for Reading is that all the players are available except the recently suspended Fae and Sonko.

Betting verdict

Derby will not surrender but they simply have too many players on the injury list to even try to resist Reading significantly. On the other hand, Reading must score a goal and it seems they have forgotten how it’s done. Forst half will be crucial. If Reading fail to score quickly, the pressure will increase and this team is, obviously, incapable of dealing the pressure. We still believe that Reading will win. Simply, there is too much difference in the quality and the motivation. Be careful with the stake, because it is the last round, so if the news from Fratton Park be bad, Reading might give up fighting.
