 The game at Loftus Road will be a real treat for football fans, home side QPR will play against leader and the new Premier League contestant - West Bromwich Albion. Albion will do their best to finish the successful season with a win, while home side are much weakened by numerous banns and injuries.
Hoops in an easy finish
QPR continue to move without pressure towards end, by a tough defeat in Norwich (0:3). The key moment of the game was when Damion Stewart was sent off early in the 4th minute, due to a harsh foul. Immediately after it happened, Canaries were put ahead. Even then, it was clear that Rangers won`t have it easy at Carrow Road and that they can only try to lessen the defeat, with just 10 men.
Manager Luigi De Canio already has many problems with his squad due to many injuries and banns, and Stewart`s absence will be another hard blow. However, their results are quite solid, if you think of their lack of motivation and no possibility of a better placement. Their survival is long taken care of, they`ve already started making plans for the following season, in which financially stabilized and reinforced Hoops will be one of the greatest competitors for the top of the board.
Baggies want to finish with style
West Bromwich Albion already secured a position in the Premier League for the following season, after 2 years of absence. Baggies weren`t at their best against Southamtpon on Monday, allowing visitors (struggling for survival) to get ahead 13 minutes before end (1:0). However, Chris Brunt drew levell just 6 minutes later, causing an eruption of rapture among fans and a so-called "pitch invasion" (fans running out on pitch), after the game was ended.
Truth be told, very few didn`t think WBA would make it to the Premier League, considering their strength and players on the team, a combination of great youth and quality experience. Their performance was brilliant, especially until 4-5 rounds ago, when they started having to struggle and getting disappointed by quite a few defeats. It seems they didn`t even have to give their best, while making it to the highest rank and also to semi-finals of the FA Cup. The only things that could prevent them from celebrating are a defeat to QPR, Hull winning in Ipswich by12 goal difference, and Stoke not losing to Leicester, all at the same time.
Betting verdict
Baggies will do their best to finish the season with a win, thus entering a new era. Many think they will also have an important role in the Premier League, surely not among relegation candidates. Jonathan Greening, Zoltan Gera, Ishmael Miller, Robert Koren, Paul Robinson, not to mention Kevin Phillips, are all players of the highest rank. Much weakened and unmotivated QPR don`t stand much chance in this game and we think it`ll be an easy away win.
