After more than half a century city rivals will meet in the Cup quarterfinals. This Munich derby is almost religious matter and on this day the whole city will be divided into two colours red and blue.

Although the promotion to Bundesliga has been their priority for several season, Munich 1860 certainly won’t give up the Cup that is the only way for them to play in Europe next season.
Just as their city rivals Munich will field the strongest line-up. The Lions drew in a friendly against Bayern before the start of the season but we should mention that they played with combined line-up. This time Marco Kruz will definitely field the strongest line-up that will try to confront the much stronger rivals. Defense relies on Greg Barhalter that so far proved to be the great leader of the back line. Also a lot is expected from talented Bender twins Lars and Sven but most attention will be focused on the first star of the team Daniel Bierofk. Munich 1860 won’t be able to count on injured Szukal and Johnson.
