Few promising seasons for Wolves
Wolves are another team with the traditional fine team spirit and leadership. Mick McCarthy has been leading them successfully for two and a half years, with the score of one semi-final of the play-off in the season 2006/07 and the last years' seventh place. They had been on the verge of top 6 over the entire last season but, eventually, they failed. Never the less, they had demonstrated the quality and the consistency, the good team spirit and quality games both home and away. They also had the top scorer of the league in their squad, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (although he played the first part of the season in Plymouth).
Good selection of signings for the new challenge
The new season will bring the new wave of the necessary refreshments and changes in the team. Fredy Eastwood failed to prove his worth, especially with his attitude and behaviour, so he went to Coventry, and the excellent Chris Iwelumo from Charlton will be the great replacement for him in the offense. David Jones from Derby has strengthened the midfield, and Richard Stearman has come from Leicester to help the defence. Apart from Eastwood, the veterans, Gary Breen (Hereford) and Charley Mulgrew (Aberdeen) also left, and McCarthy has also counted off Jay Bothroyd, Darren Ward and Stephen Elliot. Another great Charlton player will probably sign, defender Ben Thatcher, and it is said that Michael Chopra, top scorer of the Championship for Cardiff two years ago, will also come because he didn't do quite well in his debut season in the Premiership at Sunderland.

Wolves finally on the road of success?
The greatest boost to the Wolves will be the new four-year contract for the first star of the team and the first scorer of the Irish national team, young Michael Kightly. Unburdened McCarthuy can start putting the pieces together in his new attempt to reach Premiership and he also has pretty solid chances to do so. He's got the great mixture of youth and experience, highly motivated players, solid financial support and the refreshed squad in the key positions. The only serious opponent in Midlands county for them will be Birmingham City, but, because of the odds of 4.5 they are worth betting on to be better ranked than them, so our recommendation is this:
Our tip: Wolves to be top Midlands club, stake 4
Odds: 4.50
