Surprise of the season
Valladolid were one of the most serious relegation candidates last season, but the team surprised us all with their tough attitude in the last few, most difficult appearances. When we know they had a plenty of scoring problems. Defense went trough a hard time to save the inefficient play of their teammates although the have even been once filled with seven to Real Madrid earlier in the season. Manager, Jose Luis Mendilbar, was successful and the board is grateful for all he has done.
The squad is pretty much the same
Partly due to financial problems, partly due to the happiness of the players they had, Valladolid were hesitant to spend much time in transfer market. Llorente, tteam's top scorer, has gone, but all the others important rollers are still here. Apart from Llorente, bench players were mainly the ones to leave, Butelle and Sissi ended up in Valencia, but they will be passed on to some other team on loan. Llorente's departure and the lack of goals will be compensated by the captures of two highly quality lads. Macedonian international, With Vladimir Manchev and Henok Goitom from Murcia, alongside the legendary Victor and excellent Ogbeche, Valladolid's offence line should have more lethal options for the approaching season.

Much peaceful season expected
Key for the successful season will be hidden in successful defense. If they work hard like the last year, significantly boosted attack will have easier time scoring and Valladolid should be in for a more satisfying season. It is hard to predict where the team will end up, but they could become a pleasant surprise. First season is hardest to survive, they did it, and all things are implying they have a more quality squad than last year. Around the 10th place would definitely be considered a success, but since there are a lot of other contenders for the seat, it won't be easy to achieve.
