Survival
Famous Recre, the oldest Spanish football club secured survival in the last round last season. They were considered the main relegation contenders during the whole season but sacking coach Victor Munoz and hiring Manuel Zambrano brought results and the players seemed reborn. This was a huge success for the modest club with great tradition and everyone in this maritime city alongside Portuguese border on the far West of the country, expect the next season to be more peaceful.
At first sight, squad seems weaker
During the summer transfer window many players left Huelva. Certainly the most affecting was departure of excellent attacker Sinama-Pongolle to Atletico Madrid. Teams’ bets scorer last year will terrorize opposing nets wearing blue-white instead of red-white jersey. Besides him, excellent Martin Caceres left the team to move to Barcelona, then Romanian Rosu and Portuguese Carlos Martins. All of these four are very good players and they were standard in the A squad. Argentinean Sorrentino moved to AEK from Athens, and Gerard chose PAOK from Solun. Excellent attacker Nayar arrived from Boca Juniors, then Roberto from Atletico and Arzo from Villarreal. Coach is still Manuel Zambrano who believes that Recreativo won’t have major problems in staying in the league. Technical quality of the players who stayed is excellent; he especially relies on Quiqe Alvarez, Ersen martin, Javier Guerrero, Camunas and Zahinos.

Relegation battle
Relegation battle in Primera will be realistic extent for this team but they will probably live through it. The players already have two years of experience in the elite; there are not many back-ups but they have quality to replace the players who left. Manuel Zambrano will undoubtedly have plenty of motives to keep the club from his home town in Primera. The club of Recreativo’s tradition deserves that; relegation battle is reality but they won’t struggle as they did last year. There are weaker sides than Andalusians and traditional combative spirit and persistency of this club will probably be enough to keep them in the elite.
