WBA in Premier League

WBA in Premier League, more than half of other teams fighting for placement

One round before 2007/08 season`s end of the world`s strongest second League, better known as Coca Cola Championship, it seems like the situation is no clearer than it was throughout the entire season. West Bromwich Albion made it back to Premier League after two years` absence, by hardly managing to draw the game at home against Southampton on Monday (1:1). The only thing that could prevent Baggies from being promoted to Premier League would be a defeat to QPR in the last game of the season, while Stoke would have to lose against Leicester and Hull would have to win in Ipswich with 12 goals. You`ll have to admit it`s impossible...

Stoke with a great chance for direct promotion, Hull and Bristol City in play-off...

Another certainty, known from before, is that Colhester and Scunthorpe will be relegated. Everything else is still unknown. Stoke City stand greatest chance of direct promotion, alongside WBA, since they need only one point against Leicester. The trouble is that Leicester are in great need of points as well, the defeat would almost certainly lead them to relegation. Stoke will end up 2nd even if they lose this game, but only if Hull fail to win in Ipswich. Ipswich, on the other hand, will do their best to win since they still stand a chance for play-off, as do Wolves and Sheffield United. However, Crystal Palace currently hold 6th position and are most likely to keep it, if they win over unmotivated Burnley. Bristol City and Hull are certain to be in play-off, Watford still have to fight for it and will play against Blackpool, also not certain of their own position.

A tight fight for the 3rd relegation candidate...

As for survival, Southampton, Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday, also Coventry and Blackpool, are the teams with most chances of being the 3rd team to be relegated. Owls might have the easiest job, they`ll play at home against unmotivated Norwich, Leicester will have a very difficult task in Stoke-on-Trent, and Southampton will play at home against hauling Sheffield United, also not without a play-off chance. Coventry could easily gain a point playing away against Charlton, since home side have lost every chance of a better placement and are utterly out of shape.

The most interesting matches of the round

Certainly the game Stoke-Leicester will be crucial for both of the rivals. Home side Potters will make it to Premier League for the first time since 1984, if they remain undefeated. Visitors will be relegated to 3rd League (better known as League One) for the first time in their history, if they lose and Southampton gain at least one point against Sheffield United. The games Ipswich-Hull, Saints-Sheffiled United, Blackpool-Watford and Wolves-Plymouth will also be interesting.

There`s plenty of excitement on the way, and we will chose the best and safest betting options. Stay with us, as you were throughout the season, since it`ll be the most exciting finish of the League in last few seasons.
